Sheer fiord walls, a pointed peak over still water, waterfalls, a yacht on a lake and the mountains from a plane. Weighing up the Fiordland National Park tours? These are the places a day in the park takes you.

The set opens on the water at the foot of the peaks: the day boats below the walls, the passengers at the bow, the waterfalls from above and from the spray at their foot. Then the quieter arms, a mirror-still fiord and the long lakes from a ridge.

After that come the lakes and the river at Te Anau: a historic yacht under sail, a lake boat in the evening sun and the yellow jet boats on the Waiau. The set closes on the animals you may meet, dolphins, a fur seal and a weka, a night aboard, and the view from the air.
